Most products fail quietly — not at launch, but at the moment a goal was set in a room without enough people in it.

What I actually do
Systems ThinkingService BlueprintB2B EnterpriseFrontend ProtoDesign SystemsComplexity-first

I started in code.
I haven't landed yet.

Not by accident. I needed to feel what breaks before I could design what holds. Engineering showed me where teams make trade-offs they'll regret. Product management put me in the room where decisions actually get made.

Most product problems are settled long before anyone opens Figma — a goal set without enough context, a handoff where meaning quietly evaporated. The interface is just where the damage becomes visible.

Reading that upstream layer is where my product instincts meet my design ones. That overlap is where I do my best work.

Where I thrive
WorkshopCo-designCommunity/B2CResearch

Give me fuzzy roles
and real stakes.

Not no structure. Just — teams where people don't stop thinking when something falls outside their job description. Engineers who care about the user. Designers who worry about feasibility.

Every team has people quietly holding broken structure together. They see the problems. They just haven't had the words for them yet.

I help them find the words — then turn those words into process, consensus, and something the whole team owns.

How I work

I love journey maps.
I've also watched them die.

A journey map can be one of the most powerful tools in a project — for alignment, for surfacing hidden fractures, for making the invisible finally legible. I've built ones that changed how organizations saw themselves.

I've also watched beautifully crafted maps get pinned to a wall and never opened again. The question is always: will this change how this team thinks? If not, it's decoration.

The front end is slow. You'll think I'm asking too many questions. But when the structure surfaces, it belongs to all of you.

What troubles me

Why do we keep solving
problems at the wrong altitude?

We optimize the button when the service is broken. We redesign the app when the policy is the problem. The design field has a habit of working just below where the real leverage is.

I'm drawn to the layer beneath the interface — where changes don't require users to do anything differently, but make the whole system healthier.

When AI was still mostly hype, I was already thinking about how it would reshape how teams think together — not as a productivity tool, but as new infrastructure for collective intelligence.

What I believe
Systems ThinkingHorizon ScanningEthics NavigationB2B Enterprise

Design is a political act.
I take that seriously.

Every interface encodes beliefs about who matters, what counts as success, and whose experience is worth optimizing. I take that seriously — which is why I care about who's in the room when decisions get made, and who's absent.

I use Meadows' 12 leverage points to read systems. 3 Horizons to think about time. Not frameworks I cite — the way I actually think.

If you have a big, unsolved problem — the kind with no textbook answer — let's talk.
Chronicle

Every step was deliberate.

I'm not a designer because I always was one. I got here by walking every other path first.

Talk
"The medium is whatever the problem calls for."

I've designed for frontline social workers, enterprise platform developers, and community members encountering a service for the first time.

Physical kits. Enterprise platforms. Native mobile, WeChat mini-programs, IoT interfaces. The occasional journey map that actually gets used.

If you have something that doesn't fit neatly into a brief — let's talk.
